Lambadi embroidery from Porgai Artisans Association in the Sittilingi Valley. With a vast stitch vocabulary of over 40 different stitches, Lambadi embroidery is a deftly executed art, worked without a prior drawing. This tradition had nearly disappeared until Porgai’s founders began the work of reviving it from memory in 2006. More than 60 women are practicing it today.
